I was gifted a bottle of wine recently and I decided I was going to use it to relax and unwind this weekend. You see, the holidays are upon us and already I’m running non stop with shopping and parties and, and, and… I decided that I was going to relax this weekend starting with a good book (the following Amazon link is an affiliate link, if you purchase the product using my link, I’ll receive a small commission); The Girl on the Train that I bought on Amazon and was saving for a special occasion, or no occasion at all, Hot gruyere and white wine chicken dip & Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio Wine – Italy.
The Girl on the Train; four versions available.
This is the time of year when friends and family members send wine as gifts and I also receive complimentary bottles from different companies. By Christmas, I’ve always complied a list of my favorites and that’s the ones I’ll be gifting to others as well. Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio Wine – Italy will be at the top of my list. Not only is it affordable ($14.99, yes I looked, I’m cheeky like that), it taste as great as you’d expect wine from “Alto Adige Italy at the Castelfeder Wine Estate and Tuscany Italy at the Fratelli Nistri Wine Estate” to taste.
As I mentioned, last night I whipped up a scrumptious hot gruyere and white wine chicken dip recipe paired with my favorite Triscuit Garden Herb crackers. I used Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio Wine in the recipe as well as sipped on a glass while I unwound. I had the most relaxing Friday night and it was absolutely what I needed to continue on into the holidays. Today I woke up with a renewed since of energy that I haven’t had since the stress of my busy schedule continued to escalate. I feel like I can take on the world. I am woman hear me ROAR. Hee hee.
There you have it. A perfect night to end my busy week. And all because I received a thoughtful gift of a bottle of Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio and because I read a review of an interesting sounding book on a blog review site.
Winemaker Notes:
Golden reflections in the glass tell you right away that you are going to taste a different Pinot Grigio. This is not your standard Pinot Grigio. Soft lemon and lime flavors with a little golden delicious apple for good measure. Nice weight and mouth feel with a little mineral or wet stone to add complexity. Simply lovely. Fresh…very fresh….great by itself or with many dishes…simply prepared fish, sushi, salads, light tapas, and much more. If you like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, or many aromatic whites you will love this wine. In one word…elegant.
